Died: At his home in the town of Porter, Wednesday, March 21, Mr. Benjamin
Davis, of consumption, aged 79 years.

Mr. Davis was born in New York state and came to Wisconsin in 1855,
locating on the farm where he died. He leaves a wife who is quite feeble to
mourn for him. He was a man most highly respected by all who knew him.

The funeral was held from the late home Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
Rev. J. C. Lees, pastor of St. John's Episcopal church, of which the
deceased was a member, officiated. The interment was made at the Ball
Tavern cemetery.
