Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Mary EGGLESTON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. F. G. Eggleston was born in Brooklyn on Dec. 12, 1865 and passed away at her home in Artisian, S. D., Sept. 3, 1928. She had been ill for some time and everything that could be done was done with loving hands to ease her during her illness. She was married Feb. 21, 1884, to Frank G. Eggleston. They lived in this city for one year, and then moved to South Dakota. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. H. J. Tysdal and Mrs. E. D. Goudy, both of Artisian, S. D., her husband, three grandchildren and sisters and brothers. While she will be sadly missed by the members of her family, as well as her many friends, the recollection of her many virtues and her tender solicitude for the comfort and welfare of her husband and family will be priceless treasure to them in the day to come. Funeral services for Mrs. F. G. Eggleston, formerly known as Mary Lavina Lamb in this city, were held Thursday, Sept. 6th at the Presbyterian church. Her two sisters, Mrs. David Thompson and Mrs. C. W. Murphy and brother, Mr. John Lamb attended the funeral. A place is vacant in our home, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled.
