Frank Emery, aged 72 years. Mr. Emery died from the effect of injuries received Wednesday while stretching some wire fence on his premises. The machine for placing the fence sprung back and struck Mr. Emery on the side of the head severely fracturing his skull just back of the ear. Local surgeons were immediately called and Dr. Jackson of Madison later in the day operated upon the wound giving the patient relief until the coming of the Great Physician. Mr. Emery came to this vicinity from New York State during war times. He was a great worker in the M. E. Church to which organization he was early connected. The deceased was one of the directors of the Bank of Evansville for years and was highly esteemed by all. He leaves a wife and one son besides four brothers and two sisters. The funeral will occur at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Rollins will officiate. May 13, 1899, The Badger, Evansville, Wisconsin
