GABRIEL Found Dead In City Hall By Police Chief Lamb, Home On Furlough William C. Gabriel, 18, son of H. Brooks Gabriel this city was found dead by his own hands in the washroom of the City Hall about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Young Gabriel was educated in the local schools, where he was also interested in music, being in the band as well as in the high school orchestra. Bill, as he was known to his school mates also played on the football team. During a period last summer he was life guard at the city park, where he was the friend of all the youngsters. An ambulance from Truax Field, Madison, was called and took the body to Madison pending funeral arrangements. Pvt. Gabriel was home on furlough at the time.
