The remains of Michael H. Gibson, a farmer residing about 5 miles north of
Beloit, were found scattered along the Northwestern track 2 miles north of
Beloit, Friday morning; it is supposed that he had started to walk home
upon the track after dark the night previous, and was struck by a train.
