Mr. Joseph Goodrich of Milton, died at his residence last Wednesday. He was
the man who first brought into practical use the method of building gravel
houses. He came into Rock county in 1838 and settled in Milton, where he
early identified himself with educational matters, so popular at the time
in that place.
