We received the sad news Thursday morning of the death of Mrs. Carrie M. Heartt, which occurred at her home in Chicago, on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1897. The remains are expected to arrive here at 10:00 o'clock, Friday evening; interment will take place at the Evansville cemetery, Saturday at 10:00 o'clock a.m., at which her Evansville friends will be welcome. Mr. Chas. Heartt, of Chicago arrived Friday evening at 10 o'clock with the remains of his wife Carrie, accompanied by Oscar E. Little The remains were taken charge of by Undertakers Young & Meinke; a few friends assembled at their rooms the next morning where a short prayer was offered by Rev. H. Sewell and the remains conveyed to the Evansville cemetery and tenderly laid in their last resting place, where they were followed by a few old neighbors and friends. Mr. Heartt wishes us to say that he feels truly grateful to his Evansville friends for the interest expressed in his bereavement, and assitance in the interment of his beloved wife.
