Mrs. Arthur Jordan, 70, native of Rock County and former resident of Green
county, died on Thursday afternoon in a hospital at Hawkeye, Ia. She had
been ill for several months. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon
in Hawkeye with burial in a cemetery there.

Nettie Reese, daughter of Edward and Jane Reese, was born Dec. 14, 1876.
She was married to Arthur Jordan of Brooklyn, Wis., in 1896, and after
their marriage farmed for a time in Rock County. They moved later to Iowa
where they have farmed since.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Watkins, Minneapolis; two
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Jane Finn, Evansville, and Mrs.
Abbie Newman, Juda; four brothers, William Reese, Evansville, Boyd Reese,
Marsahll, Minn., Spencer and Watson Reese, Janesville. Her parents, two
sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Jordon was a sister of Mrs. R. L. Finn, Evansville, and the late Mary
R. Brown, who died here in her home a few weeks ago.
