Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Kimball KILLAM ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Kimball Killam Superintendent Janesville Gazette Jan. 30 Kimball Killam, a prosperous Rock county farmer of the town of Milton, will be the next superintendent of the Rock county insane asylum and poor farm. Mr. Killam will succeed Arthur Aller who leaves on February 1 to assume the position of steward of the Northern State Hospital for the insane at Oshkosh. A special meeting of the trustees of the Rock county insane asylum and poor farm will be held tomorrow and the official appointment of Mr. Kimball will be made. Last Monday Mr. Killam handed in his resignation as president of the board of trustees of the Rock county asylum and poor farm, and the same was accepted. Present indications are that T. B. Bailey of Beloit will be appointed to fill Mr. Killam's position as trustee. Mr. Killam is highly respected and well known throughout Rock county. He has served on the county board of supervisors and has demonstrated that he is a fit man for the position that awaits him. The selection is a wise one and many will extend most hearty congratulations. February 3, 1900, The Badger, p. 1, col. 5, Evansville, Wisconsin
