Margaret T. Slauson was born in Orange Co. N. Y. in 1841 and came to
Wisconsin with her parents Reuben and Rachel Slauson in 1846 and settled in
the town of Union, Wis., where she grew to womanhood. She attended school
at the Evansville Seminary and was one of the first students to graduate
from that institution in 1867.

In March 1868 she was united in marriage to Joseph Patchen of Truman,
Minnesota. She died at the home of her daughter in New Market, Iowa, Jan.
30th, 1927. Her husband proceeded her in death several years ago.

Burial will be Feb. 2nd from the old home at Truman, Minnesota.

Mr. N. T. Slauson of this city is a brother of the deceased.
