F. Bartlett, at Beloit, Tuesday, April 19, in the ninety-third year of her age, having been ill for the last eight months. The deceased was born in the town of Navon, County Meade, Ireland and came to this country at the age of twelve years, making her home with her parents in the state of New York, until her marriage to Thomas Reilly, when she was twenty years of age. At that time she and her husband came to Rock County settling in the Rock Prairie community, and afterwards moving to Evansville, where she lived for many years, living in this county and city fifty-five years. To this union was born eleven children, five of which have preceeded her to the Great Beyond, while six remain to mourn her loss, she having been left a widow by the death of her husband, July 7, 1878. Those of the children who yet remain are: Mrs. Charles Bartlett, Beloit; Mrs. M. N. Holden, Evansville; J. E. Reilly, Beloit; E. T. Reilly, Milwaukee; Mrs. Kate Spear, Adams, Wis.' and Mrs. J. B. Douglas, Mansfield, Ill. The funeral occurs this afternoon at St. John's Church, Rev. Wilmer, of Janesville officiating. The remains will be laid beside her husband in Maple Hill cemetery. The deceased was one, whom to know was to love and her patient forbearing spirit is well remembered by the hosts of friends who knew her during her long residence in this county and city. The deceased had the true Irish heart which easily overlooked the shortcomings of others and saw only the good in every character and friend, and over her passing many tears have been shed for one of the best of Nature's noble women, mother and friend.
