Walter S. Sargent, who died on Wednesday afternoon of last week at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. F. H. Plummer, Grand street, was born at Concord,
February 6, 1834, the son of Abram Sargent. For many years he resided at
Evansville, Wisconsin, but since coming east nearly four years ago, he has
made his home with his daughter, Mrs. F. H. Plummer, who gave him every
care. The cause of his death, however, was valvular disease of the heart,
and his final illness was of but a day's duration. The body was taken to
Franklin for the funeral services and burial. Somersworth, N. H., Free
