Thomas Wallis, well known in this city, and at one time an Evansville
resident, passed away at his home in Janesville, December 25, at 10 a.m.

The deceased was born in London, England, in 1850, and came to this country
when quite a small child, passing most of his life in Rock County.

The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Melrose, of the
Presbyterian church, December 27, interment being made in the Janesville
cemetery.

The deceased left a wife, son, and granddaughter to mourn his loss.

Mrs. Wallis, wife of the deceased, is a sister of Mr. E. J. Ballard, of
this city.
