Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Jacob C. Allen occurred last Friday afternoon at the home of his father, Mr. J. C. Allen, on North Madison street. He was a little over twenty-seven years of age. About ten years ago he was married to Ethel Van Patten. To this union there was born one son, Leonard. For several years Mr. Allen has suffered with tuberculosis, but especially during the past six months. Some time ago he was taken to Moline to a hospital for an operation. About two weeks ago he was brought back to Evansville. He is survived by his father, who lives in Evansville, his mother who is now in Moline, Ill., one brother, Arthur of Janesville, and three half brothers, Lyman of Beloit, Chas. of Traverse City, Mich., Fred of Evansville, and one sister, Mrs. Vera Schultz of Chicago. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. Theron T. Phelps of the Baptist church. The interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.
