BLACKMUN Lester P. Blackmun died at his home in Morgan Park, Ill., on Tuesday morning, November 30, 1909, at 3:45 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at the late home on Thursday and the remains arrived in this city on Friday afternoon and were taken to the home of his nephew, Charles Blackmun, on Liberty Street. Burial services and interment took place in Maple Hill Cemter, Saturday mroning. Mr. Blackmun was born in Seneca county, Ohio, seventy-five years ago last August. At an early age he removed to Wisconsin, and for many years resided in this place. He was well known as a musician, and during his residence in this vicinity won a wide circle of friends. In November 1855, he was married to Miss Armina Siver, who departed this life May 21, 1907. About thirty-seven years ago the family moved to Chicago, and that city and its suburbs have since been their home. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Lettie Hyde, Miss Abbie Blackmun and Mrs. Alice Gibbs, all of Morgan Park, Ill.; also one brother, Gilbert Blackmun of Eldora, Ia. Orin Foster of Baraboo, a brother-in-law was here to attend the funeral. December 9, 1909, The Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin Lester Blackmun Buried Lester Blackmun a resident and business man in Evansville thrity years ago, died in Chicago last Tuesday and the body was brought here on Friday for burial in the Evansville cemetery. The funeral had been in Chicago and the only service here was the burial services at the grave. Mr. Blackmun was well known to many of the older residents of the city. His three daughters, Mrs. C. H. Gibbs, Mrs. Hyde and Miss Abbie Blackmun, accompanied the remains here. The deceased was a cousin of Jonathan Blackmun, who resides on a farm not far from this city, and Chas. Blackmun, who resides in town is a nephew. December 9, 1909, Enterprise, Evansville, Wisconsin
