Burt died last night at the age of ninety years. He is believed to have been the oldest railway engineer in America, and ran an engine on the Plattville-Susquehana road in Pennsylvania when railroading was a novelty in America. He also ran the first engine that crossed the high bridge at Poughkeepsie, N. Y. Of late he has made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. A. C.
