Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Anna CHATTERTON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, February 2007 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ CHRISTIAN LADY PASSED AWAY LAST FRIDAY Anna V. Greenman was born in Truxton, Cortland Co., N. Y., Sept. 29, 1850, and died at her home in Evansville, March 31, 1916. She lived with her parents in the home where she was born until her marriage at the age of nineteen, to F. H. Chatterton, of Lisle, N. Y. Five years after their marriage they went to California on account of her husband's failing health, where he died a few months later. She returned to her father's home in New York, and in 1877, came with the family to Evansville, which has since that time been her home. She was converted at the age of sixteen and united with the Baptist church, of which she always has been a consistent member. She leaves to mourn her departure her mother, Mrs. C. Greenman, and three sisters--Miss Angie Greenman, of Rogers Park, Ill., and Louis Greenman and Mrs. Alice Chatterton, of Evansville. Her father, three brothers and two sisters have preceded her to the eternal home. April 6, 1916, Evansville Review, p. 1, col. 2, Evansville, Wisconsin
