ROYAL E. CLARK ANSWERS FINAL CALL Funeral services Held Sunday, the Rev. Mr. Wilmann of Janesville officiating Mrs. Royal E. Clark, 37, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Colony, 447 East Main Street, died suddenly at 9 p.m. Friday in her home south of the city from heart trouble and complications. She had been in poor health for the past year. Funeral services were held in the home at 1 p.m. Sunday and in St. John's Episcopal church at 2 p.m. the Rev. Henry Wilmann, Janesville, officiating. Burial was made in Maple Hill cemetery with the neighbors as pallbearers. Born in this city Feb. 27, 1892, Mrs. Clark, formerly Miss Mary Marguerite Colony, was graduated from the local high school in 1909 and from the Evansville seminary in 1912. She taught in Southern Wisconsin schools for three years and was married to Royal Clark, Brodhead, on Jan. 1, 1914. Mrs. Clark, who passed an active and eminently usefull life, was a former clerk of the Moore school district and a member of St. John's Episcoal church and the Magnolia Mother's club. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, Oliver, 13, Sylvia, 9, Royal, 7 and Charles 4; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Colony, this city; one brother, Oliver Colony, Milwaukee; and one sister, Miss Charlotte Colony, this city. A son, John, died in infancy. To them is extended the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community for Mrs. Clark was a loving mother, a kind neighbor, and a patriotic and much- respected citizen.
