The deceased was born in Walworth County, Wisconsin, April 10, 1847. With her parents she moved to Wisconsin in 1860 where they located at Rutland. On December 31, 1868 she was united in marriage to John Cole living one year in the village of Dunkirk, then moving to Hillsdale County, Michigan where they resided for three years. From there they moved to Winterset, Madison County, Iowa, where they resided for six years, moving from there to Stoughton and later to the town of Union and finally to the home in Evansville, on North Madison Street. Four children were born to this union, two dying in early life, the remaining ones being Mr. E. M. Cole, of this city and Mrs. Ida Cadwell of Beloit. The funeral services will take place from the home on North Madison St., at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, the services being conducted by the Rev. Stephens, interment being at Stoughton, their former home. The deceased was stricken very suddenly at about eleven o'clock yesterday, being in apparently her usual health, having been able to do her housework on that day. She was a woman much respected by all who knew her and a large circle of friends in this county and in Dane county will mourn the loss of a kind friend, whom they will severely miss from their life associations.
