She was formerly Laura Sellack, and was born in Monticello, April 2, 1867. She has always lived in this vicinity. On Feb. 25, 1885, she was married to John Crawford, and they lived on a near-by farm until last March when they bought their present home in this city. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven children; Vern of Stoughton, William, Mrs. Maude Boode, Darrell and Archie, all of Evansville; Mrs. Pearl Spanton of Albany, and Roy, Whitewater Normal; her parents; a sister in Evansville and one sister living in Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at the home, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Frank Hanaman of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. April 23, 1925, p. 8, Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin Mrs. Laura (Selleck) Crawford, was born in the town of York, Green County, Wisconsin, April 2, 1867 and died April 22, 1925 at the age of 58 years, two weeks and six days. She was married to John Crawford, February 15, 1885. Besides her husband there remains to mourn her loss, 7 children, LaVern, Mrs. Maude Boode, Darrel, Roy and Archie, all of Evansville, William of Stoughton, and Mrs. Pearl Spanton of Albany, Wis., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Selleck of Evansville; two sister, Mrs. Emma Gemmill of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mrs. D. Patchin of Evansville; and one adopted sister, Mrs. Florence Timm of Watertown, Wis., She was a devoted wife and mother and highly respected by allw ho knew her. Surely, if she could speak she would say the words of the poet, "The stars shall shine for a thousand years, A thousand years and a day; But God and I will love and live When the stars are passing away."
