H. Crawford Serena Porter was born in Indiana in 1837, and died March 10, 1913 at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 15 days. She was married to Wm. H. Crawford May 12, 1860 and very soon thereafter moved to Illinois. They moved to Wisconsin in 1864 and have lived in the town of Union continuously. To them five children were born. George died in infancy and Humbert in 1905. Three children remain to cherish the memory of a devoted mother, John and Albert Crawford, and one daughter Mrs. John Douglas. Beside these there are fourteen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Peterson of Richmond, Ill. and Mrs. Lynch of Chicago. Mr. Crawford died in October 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford united with the Methodist Episcopal church over 50 years ago, and until failing health prevented wre loyal to its best interests. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock from the farm home southwest of town and were conducted by Rev. Chas. E. Coon.
