Dibble, formerly of this city, died last Saturday at the home of his son, Allen W. Dibble, in Madison. Mr. Dibble was for many years a resident of this city and was well known here. He was born in Chautauqua county, New York, January 11, 1837, and moved to Wisconsin in 1849. He enlisted in the Union army in 1863 and served until the end of the war. After a short residence in Minnesota he lived in Evansville, until 1899, when he moved to Fruitvale, Alabama, and came to Madison to live with his son in 1918. He was married in Evansville in 1863 to Lucinda Wadsworth, who died in 1894. In 1896, he married Mary Wadsworth who died April 6, 1911. The deceased was a prominent member of the G. A. R., and his funeral at Madison was under the auspices of the post of that city and the organization in this city attended his funeral in a body at the Methodist church where the funeral was conducted by the Rev.
