Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Wilhelmina ELERT ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. Wilhelmna Trapp-Elert age 85 years died here at 1:45 p.m. Friday of dropsy after an all winters illness. She was born in the prvince of Pommeran, Germany, January 5th 1839. Wilhelmina Trapp was married to William Elert in Germany, 57 years ago. They came to America 53 years ago and settled on a farm near Fellows Station where they lived until 1901 when they moved to Evansville where they have resided ever since. Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Kueltz and Mrs. Amelia Butts, seven children, two daughters and five sons, Mrs. Anna Zickert of Beloit, Mrs. Rose Conrad of Chetek, William and Louis of Madison, Fred of Peshtigo, Charles and Edward of Evansville and twenty three grand children. Funeral services were conducted at the home, Sunday p.m. at 2:30 the Rev. Otto Woede officiating. Burial was made in Maple Hill cemetery.
