Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Cora EMERY ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Cora, only daughter of B. F. and Mary Emery, of Union, aged 16 years, after a lingering sickness, passed peacefully into eternal life at 5:30 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2d. Her disease was consumption. Kind friends, loving parents and brother did all that was possible to save her, but it was of no use. The very best of medical treatment failed to reach her case. She passed away in a peaceful sleep at the home named above. Cora had been a member of the M. E. Sunday School ever since she was old enough to go, first in the infant class, and then graduating into the intermediate tot he young ladies' Bible class. She was converted when eight years of age under the labors of Rev. J. D. Cole, and united with the church and continued a faithful christian until the end of her pure young life. Her parents and family have the sympathies of all their acquaintances, but they mourn not as those without hope, for her end was peace. Evansville Review, January 4, 1884, Evansville, Wisconsin
