Death of Mrs. Emery

At one o'clock this morning, (Wednesday, Dec. 16) Mrs. Lucinda Emery died
at the home of her son, George, at their place three miles northeast of
this city. She had only been ill a few weeks, having theretofore been well
and hearty and carried her years lightly, as she was 72 years of age her
last birthday. She was married to Fred Emery, on July 4, 1857, her husband
preceding her to the world beyond several years ago, since when she has
resided with her son.

Three children were raised by Mr. and Mrs. Emery, one son, George, and two
daughters, Mary, now Mrs. John Robinson, and Ida, unmarried, all of whom
live near this city. At this time arrangements have not been made for the
funeral. Many sorrowing friends are sympathizing with the family in the
hour of bereavement.
