Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Michael FINERAN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, February 2007 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ OBITUARY Michael Fineran Michael Fineran, an old and respected citizen of Rock County passed away this morning at the Mercy hospital after a brief illness of the past three weeks. He was born in October, 1845, in Ireland and forty years ago he came to this country. The greater part of his life while in the United States was spent on a farm near Evansville. He has many friends in Rock County who will be grieved to hear of his death. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, six daughters, Mrs. John W?man, St. Charles, Minnesota, Sarah and Gertrude of Chicago, Anna, Agnes, and Rose of this city, and two sons, Frank of Chicago and Joseph of this city. He also leaves to mourn his death, one sister, Mrs. M. B. Fineran, of Evansville, and a brother, Thomas of Armour, South Dakota. Funeral services will be conducted from St. Mary's church Tuesday morning at nine o'clock. The Rev. Father Goebel will officiate. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Albany, Wisconsin. August 28, 1916, Janesville Gazette, Janesville, Wisconsin Michael Fineran. Requiem high mass was celebrated this morning at nine o'clock at the St. Mary's church for the late Michael Fineran. Rev. Father Goebel officiated at the mass and also delivered the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Albany, Wis., the body leaving here via the Milwaukee road at ten forty o'clock. The pallbearers were Thomas, John, William and Patrick Fineran.
