By the death of Hon. E. A. Foot, another of Rock Co.'s pioneers has gone to
his reward. His death occurred on Monday, the 21st inst., in the presence
of his family at his home in Footville. He was in his 77th year and had
resided in this county since 1845, and was the founder of the village of
Footville. He had held many posiitons of trust and won for himself the high
esteem of all who knew him. His death is mourned by the whole community as
well as his wife and two children, Mrs. E. H. Egerton, who resides at the
old homestead and Rev. J. I. Foot, of Appleton, Wis.
