Stauffacher was born in Juda, Wis., Jan. 19, 1872. She lived in that village until she was nineteen years old, when she moved with her parents to Monroe. She was married at Monroe to Mr. Fred Franklin, July 7, 1895, coming at once to this city, where she has since resided. She quietly passed away last Friday night, Oct. 10, 1902, after an illness of about seven months, heart disease being the immediate cause of her death. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church, last Sunday morning at 10:30, Rev. J. W. Hoag officiating. Interment in the cemetery in this city. Besides a husband, she leaves a mother, Mrs. Stauffacher of Monroe, three sisters, Misses Clara of Monroe, Lydia and Katie of Chicago, and four brothers, Messrs. Charlie, Harry and Frank of California, and Antone of Chicago. Her father preceded her to the land beyond eleven years ago. Among the relatives who attended the funeral were her mother, sister Clara, brother Antone, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mattison of Darien, Wis. Mrs. Franklin made many warm friends in our midst, who sympathize deeply with the bereaved relatives. October 18, 1902, The Badger, p. 1, col. 5, Evansville, Wisconsin. \Mrs. Annie M. Franklin, wife of Fred L. Franklin, died Friday night, Oct. 10, at her home in this city on West Main street, after a long, lingering illness. The immediate cause of her death being heart disease. Miss Annie M. Stauffacher was born in Juda, Wis., on January 19, 1872; was married to Fred L. Franklin at her home in Juda, July 7, 1895, and has since resided in this city. She leaves many warm friends to mourn her early sad death, as well as a mother, four brothers, three sisters, and a kind indulgent husband. Her mother, one brother and sister were present at the funeral, which was held in the Baptist church, Sunday morning at the regular hour of service, 10:30 o'clock; Rev. Hoag officiating clergyman. The bearers were N. Shreve, R. Finn, A. C. Searles, E. H. Fiedler, Ed. Smith and J. H. Johnson, who kindly and carefully laid the remains in their last resting place in the Evansville city cemetery.
