She was born in Pennsylvania in 1824 and was married to Nathan Frantz in 1846. She came to Wisconsin in 1862. The deceased has been a member of the M. E. church since girlhood. A husband, four sons, and three daughters, namely, Joshua and Lev., both of this city, Luther of Belvidere, and John of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Lizzie Clave of Chicago, Mrs. Nettie France of Gilroy, California, and Mrs. Ida Jones of this city, are left to mourn the loss of a most devoted wife and mother. The funeral services were held at the residence on Thursday morning, Rev. J. Sewell officiating. Interment in the cemetery in this city. August 30, 1902, p. 1, col. 5, The Badger, Evansville, Wisconsin Mrs. Emily Frantz, aged 78 years, departed from this life at her home in this city, Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 26, 1902, about 4 o'clock, after a long, painful illness from a tumor. The deceased was born in Kunkletown, Pa., Oct. 31, 1824; was married to Nathan Frantz, Sept. 5, 1846; moved to Wisconsin, near Janesville, in 1862; came to this city in 1867. She became a member of the M. E. church in an early day, in which she has always been an ardent christian worker. She leaves a husband, four sons, and three daughters to mourn their sad loss of a most kind, indulgent mother, whom everybody loved and respected. The funeral was held at the home, Thursday morning, at 10:30 o'clock; Rev. H. Sewell, officiating, assested by our resident M. E. pastor, Rev. Webster Millar.
