Nathan Frantz died on Tuesday, afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arford Jones, in this city, at the advanced age of 90 years and 11 days. Mr. Frantz was born in Monroe county, Pennsylvania, July 10, 1819, where he resided during his boyhood and early manhood. In the year 1845 he was married to Miss Emily Kunkel, of Kunkelville, Pa. Of this union ten children were born, three of whom died in infancy. In the year 1861 the family came west locating at Beloit in April of that year, where they resided for about four years, going from there into Iriquois county, Ill. In 1867 they came to Evansville, where the subject of this sketch resided until his death. Death came peacefully to Mr. Frantz, he having been sitting quietly in his chair when the end came--a fitting ending to a worthy life. There remain surviving him seven children, their mother having passed away in 1902. The children are four sons, Joshua and Livingston, both residing in Evansville, John of Joliet, Ill., and Luther, of Belvidere, Ill., three daughters, Nettie Frantz, of New York, Ida Jones, of Evansville and Lizzie Glave, of Chicago. Two sisters and one brother also survive the deceased. The funeral will be held from the home of Arford Jones at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. T. W.
