Wednesday, Aug. 17 in her home on North Madison Street following an illness of eighteen months. Isabelle Stockbourn was born near Attica, Feb. 7, 1859, daughter of the late Francis B. and Ann Stockbourn, who were pioneers of Green County. On October 15, 1877, she married Thomas George of Albany, and settled on a farm on the County line, three and one-half miles West of Evansville, where they lived until nine years ago, when they moved to Evansville. Mr. and Mrs. George had planned to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary had she lived until October. Mrs. George is survived by her husband, eight children, 3 daughters, Mrs. Marion Wilson, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Grant Haney, this city, Mrs. Clara George, Janesville. Five sons, Clarence, Walter, Floyd, Ray and Russell, all of Evansville; seventeen grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. F. Butts, Evansville, and Mrs. Samuel Watkins of Dayton. A son, Dean died 25 years ago at the age of eight years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Congregational church. There will be brief prayer services int he home with Rev. D.
