FRED GRAVES CLAIMED BY DEATH Former Local Resident Succumbs Friday Morning in Hospital At Elgin, Illinois Mrs. Fred Graves, 34, Palatine, Ill., a former Evansville resident, died Friday morning in the hospital at Elgin, Ill., following several months of ill health. Funeral services were held at 1:45 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Rossman Kinzer company, Beloit, with a brief prayer service in the home of her sister, Mrs. Theodore Lake, 722 Oak street. Mrs. Graves, formerly Miss Helen Olson, Beloit, was born Oct. 19, 1895 and was a graduate of both the Beloit high school and the State Teachers' college at Whitewater. Following her marriage to Fred Graves at Beloit in Jan. 1924, she came to this city where Mr. Graves was at the head of the poultry department of the D. E. Wood Butter company. Mr. and Mrs. Graves made their home here until the former transferred to Ohio two years ago. Besides a host of friends, Mrs. Graves is survived by her husband; two sons, Robert and Richard; and one sister, Mrs. Theodore Lake, Beloit.
