IDA C. GRAY Mrs. Ida C. Gray, Evansville, died at 5 p.m., Saturday, in her home on East Main Street, after an illness of two months with dropsy and other complications. Mrs. Gray had been in failing health for the past three years. Ida C. Deuel, was born, Jan. 14, 1847, in Chautauqua county, N. Y. When a small child, after the death of her parents, she came to Monroe to make her home with a sister, where she lived until her marriage to Tilbury Gray, August 7, 1869, in Monroe. Mr. Gray was a carpenter and they made their home in Albany, later moving to Evansville, where they lived for many years. Seven children were born to this union, Robert and Ida, dying when small children. Her husband died June 16, 1906. Mrs. Gray is a member of the Baptist church. Mrs. Gray is survived by her children: Mrs. Edith Makeplace, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Minnie Fowler, Rosendale, Kan.; George, Madison; Bennie, at home, and Charles, Evansville; 8 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren, two brothers, A. M. Deuel and Linnas Deuel, Nowata, Okla. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday in her home, with the Rev. Thomas W. Gales of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
