He was born in Zislow, Micklenborg, Schwerin, Germany, on March 25, 1858. He came to this country in 1885, accompanied by his wife and son, Albert. His first wife died twenty-one years ago, and one year later he married Mrs. Augusta Heinz, of Porter. He is survived by his widow, his son Albert, and daughters, Miss Erna and Mrs. Will Berger of Porter, and Mrs. Anna Perry of Johnstown Center; also a stepson, Reynold Heinz, who resides in Janesville. He had been a patient sufferer for three years. Funeral services were held at his home in Porter at 1 o'clock last Sunday afternoon, and at the Center church at 2:30, Rev. Wenzel officating.
