Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Mrs. S. A. GUNN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Died: Saturday evening, May 27, of heart failure, Mrs. S. A. Gunn. Mrs. Gunn had been in poor health for some time but her death came suddenly and unexpected. She will be long and well remembered by a large number of the old settlers as, previous to her residence in this city, she and her husband were the proprietors of the old Leyden House on the Janesville road. After the death of her husband Mrs. Gunn came to this city and carried on a millinery business for many years and lived with her nephew, Mr. De Witt Griswold. The deceased leaves two sisters, Mrs. Dodge of Barnes, Kansas and Mrs. Mayo of this city at whose home the funeral occurred Tuesday morning, Rev. Dr. Lees officiating. The interment was made in the Cooksville cemetery. June 3, 1899, The Badger, Evansville, Wisconsin
