Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Mae HOLLAND ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. William E. Holland, who died at her home in Chicago, was born in this city, Oct. 3, 1888, receiving her education in the Evansville High School and at the Whitewater Normal, graduating from the latter in 1908. After graduation she taught school for several years. On August 21, 1919, she was united in marriage to Dr. William E. Holland, of Chicago, making her home with her husband in that city ever since. She is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Heron, of this city, Mrs. Ida Wilder and Mrs. Lillian Hanson, Madison, and by one brother, Carl, of this city. Mrs. Holland was greatly loved by many of her old school friends in this city, for her many good qualities and cheerful disposition, who will deeply regret that she has been called from a life of usefulness in the very prime of her existence. The body, accompanied by her father, husband, mother, and brother arrived in Evansville Tuesday evening. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Heron, this afternoon, at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Robert Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
