John Hollingsworth died at home No. 218 North Franklin street, Janesville,
Thursday, April 3d. His age was about 48 years, and his death was caused by
heart disease. He leaves besides a wife and six children to mourn his
death, three daughters and three sons. He was a member of Leota lodge of
Odd Fellows and the Order of Woodmen, here, assisted by a delegation of
both orders from Janesville. The remains were received at the depot and
were taken to the Episcopal church of which the deceased was a member, and
where brief burial services were held, conducted by Woodman Rev. Van
Swearingen.

Mr. Hollingsworth had been a resident of Evansville for a number of years,
and had a wide circle of friends. He carried an insurance or benefit of
$1,000 in the Woodman's organization which will secure their little place
in the South part of town, for a home to the widow and children.
