The end came last Thursday evening at the home of a sister, Mrs. Fred J. Smith, in Brodhead, following several months of suffering. He was born near Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Jan. 2, 1843. In 1856 he came with his parents and settled near Janesville. He was married in 1862 to Miss Ludenna Ford. A part of this early married life was spent in Evansville. Since 1899 Mr. Horne has lived near Brodhead. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Elenore Prowse of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Emily Rossiter of Orfordville, Mrs. Eliza Richmond of Magnolia, Mrs. Priscilla Partridge of Evansville, and Mrs. Hannah Smith of Brodhead, besides four brothers, Robert of Janesville, Samuel of Delta, Colo., Joseph of McFarlane and Stephen of Mineral Point.
