M. Hoskins of Stanford, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 21, 1903, at his home on the Griffin road near Mountain View. He was a native of Vermont, but from early youth until a few years ago had lived in Wisconsin. In 1898, he came with his family to California and made himself a home in the beautiful orchard tract near Mountain View, where he has lived a quiet unostentatious life. A widow, one daughter, Miss Luna G., and one son, Professor L. M. Hoskins, survive him. He was aged 66 years. The funeral took place today at his late residence and the interment was in the Mountain View cemetery. Times, Palo Alto, California. Mr. Hoskins was a resident of this city for several years and was at one time our postmaster. The family have the deepest sympathy of their many friends here.
