Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Eliza B. HUBBARD ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ DIED.--Mrs. Eliza B., wife of E. B. Hubbard, died at her home in Union, Wis., Thursday Dec. 22d, at the age of 40 years. Mrs. Hubbard had been sick since April, and although, at times seemed to improve with hopes of amendment, and then relapse, growing weaker with every successive change until finally, growing so weak with disease, her friends despaired of her recovery and gave her up into the arms of Him whom she had an abiding hope. She leaves a son and daughter, and a husband, and hosts of friends and relatives to mourn the loss of a kind mother, a dutiful wife, and a most excellent friend and neighbor. Her funeral was held at the house at half ten o'clock a.m. Monday. The sermon was preached by Rev. Mr. Crooker, of Madison, and her remains were taken to Evansville cemetery for interment. Kind sympathies go out from everyone for the stricken husband and sorrowing children. December 27, 1887, Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin
