Hudson passes away At the home of C. G. Roberts, 229 South Madison Street, last Thursday occurred the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Hudson, of Chicago. Mrs. Hudson was a former resident of this community. She was born August 9, in the year 1846, in Mercer County, State of Pennsylvania. She came to Wisconsin with the family in 1856 and has since resided in this state with the exception of her late residence in Chicago. In 1863 she was united in marriage to Mr. Elza Hudson. To this happy couple were born three children, two sons and a daughter. One son, Mr. Crawford R. Hudson, and the daughter, Mrs. Hattie Smith, of Spokane, Washington, and her beloved husband and three grandchildren and a number of friends survive to revere her memory. She was a devoted mother and wife. To her was allotted the full span of life, for she was seventy-one years old when she died. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Rev. G. R. Lawrence officiated at the services. Mrs. Madge Robinson sang two favorite songs, accompanied by Miss Irene Ballard. "Soon or late one common path awaits us all."
