KEEGAN DIES OF INJURIES Struck by Truck While At Work on Road Edward M. Keegan died early Monday morning as a result of injuries sustained last Friday when he was struck and run over by a large truck driven by Geo. Hammes of Janesville. The accident took place on the Janesville road, just a short distance east of this city. Mr. Keegan was working on the county road when struck by the truck. Suffering from severe internal injuries and with his leg crushed and mangled so badly that amputation would have been necessary had he lived, little hope was offered for his recovery. Mr. Keegan was born in the town of Union, June 13, 1865 and lived in this vicinity practically all of his life. He was married on October 22, 1895, to Miss Ella Crow of Oregon, Wis. He was the father of five children, a little daughter who died in infancy and a daughter and three sons, all of whom are still at home. Besides his wife and children he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Orrin Johnson and Mrs. Matt Farrell of Evansville and a sister in Nebraska, and two brothers, Thomas of this city and Daniel of Beloit. The funeral was held at 9:30 o'clock this morning from St. Pauls Church of this city and burial was made in a cemetery at Oregon. November 13, 1919, Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin
