He came to Racine, Wisconsin in 1873, later coming to Stoughton, where he resided a number of years. In 1903 he purchased the Sam Gammon farm in the town of Porter on which place he spent the remainder of his days. He was married in 1876 to Ingebor Sterry. He is survived by his wife, five daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. L. E. Wilson of New Oreleans, Mrs. C. E. Winston and Mrs. C. A. Berg of Evansville, Mrs. G. C. McCullough of Birmingham, Ala., and Miss Lila Knudson, N. O. Knudson, of Omaha, J. O. and J. H. of Evansville and J. H. Knudson of Stoughton. Funeral services will be held at one o'clock, Saturday afternoon from the First Lutheran church at Stoughton, Rev. M. H. Hegge officiating. Burial will be made in the Riverside cemetery of Stoughton.
