Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Condon LARSON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ The Magnolia community was severely shocked last Monday by the announcement that Condon Larson, a prominent farmer there had been found hanging in his barn, a supposed suicide. His body was found by one of his sons and that he must have been dead for some time was judged by the body being cold. Mr. Larson was a widower and moved to Rock County from Lone Rock about four years ago. He purchased the Briggs farm at Magnolia Corners, where he resided for three years. Desirous of having enough land to enable his sons to work he recently purchased the F. B. Green farm. As Mr. Larson was a prosperous farmer and had no domestic troubles it is supposed he was driven to the deed by ill health that he had been having for some time. He leaves three sons to mourn his loss, Arthur, Jacob and Ira. After a short service at the home, yesterday morning, his body was shipped to his old home at Long Rock, where a regular funeral service will be held and the remains interred in the Long Rock cemetery.
