Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Price LAYTON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Price Layton was born in Radnor county, Wales, April 28, 1852. In the summer of 1857 he came with his parents to this country and settled in Green Co., Wisconsin where they lived until moving to this vicinity ten years later. Here the deceased lived until the fall of 1883 when he went to California on account of declining health and has since lived in that state. In January 1885 he was united in marriage to Miss Bell Murrey of San Bernardino, Cal. and they later were united with the M. E. church. For some time Mr. Layton has been in poor health and his death came quietly and not unexpectedly to those who knew him. He had no regret except for those he was leaving behind him. The funeral services were held at his home in Stalder and the interment was made at Ontario. The deceased leaves a devoted wife and four children besides a mother, Mrs. C. Layton and two sisters, Mesdames Thos. and Jas. Lloyd of this city and a brother William E., of Cal. all to who is extended the warmest sympathy of many friends.
