William H. Grove yesterday received the announcement of the death of Mrs. Fannie Lord, widow of Enoch Lord, aged ninety-seven years. Mrs. Lord died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. G. Hand, at Riverdale, Illinois. She was born 1803, and came to Janesville in 1844. Here she continued to make her home until about three years ago when she went to Riverdale to live with her daughter. Her husband died in this city about thirty years ago and is buried in the cemetery near Barker's, in the town of Janesville. Mrs. Lord was the mother of fifteen children, but four of whom are living: Mesdames Betsey Maine and Mary Hawley of this city; Mrs. Lucretia Boyd of Evansville and Mrs. H. G. Hand of Riverdale, Ill.
