Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Thomas LUDDEN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Died at his home here, on Friday, August 26, 1892, Mr. Thos. Ludden, after a lingering illness of consumption. The deceased bore his sufferings with the utmost patience and resignation; and when Death finally called him, it found him ready and waiting to meet his Maker. He was a loving husband, a kind father, and an upright citizen, who possessed numberless firends. His funeral was held on Sunday, services being in St. Patrick's Church, in Janesville, conducted by the Rev. Dean McGinnity; after which the remains were laid to rest beside his father and brother in Mt. Olivet cemetery. To the deeply bereaved wife and children, mother, brothers, and sisters, the full measure of sympathy will be meted out to them by all those how have been similarly afflicted, as well as by many whose pathway has never been darkened by the shadow of death. Reguiescat in pace. Mr. John Ludden was up from Chicago, last Sunday, to attend his brother's funeral. August 30, 1892, The Tribune, p. 1, col. 5 Evansville, Wisconsin
