Mabie died at his home on Second Street Tuesday afternoon, at six o'clock, aged 82 years. For some time Mr. Mabie has not been feeling well, owing to his advanced age, and Tuesday afternoon he was in the down town stores, and while in the Economy was taken ill, and as soon as possible was removed to his home where he quietly passed into his last sleep. An old resident of Rock County, having resided in the town of Center for many years, until a few years ago he made his home in the city with his daughter, Mrs. Belle Sperry. He was well and favorably known by many; ready and willing to extend a helping hand to the distressed, and was a devoted christian. Six children--Oscar of Janesville, Will and Dora, and Mrs. Belle Sperry of this city, Mrs. Nellie M. Bucklin of Oakland, Cal., and Mrs. Nettie D. Wilcox of Janesville are left to mourn the loss of a kind father. Funeral services will be ehld tomorrow from the house at one-thirty and from the Methodist church at two-o'clock. The Rev. T. W.
