Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Vivian MAIN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. Vivian Main, wife of Floyd L. Main, whose untimely passing was such a shock to the community was born in Evansville August 4, 1896. Vivian Howe, or as she was always known, Vivian McCart grew up in the city, making and keeping many friends by her winsome ways. In early youth, with a class of other young people, she united with the Congregational church. In the fall of 1913 she was joined in marriage with Mr. Floyd L. Main at Baraboo. To this union two children were born, Betty Jane, 4 years old, and Floyd Junior, 2 years old. Besides the husband, she leaves a mother, Mrs. W. S. Gollmar and one brother, Fred. Her father passed away in 1912. Never strong, her physical troubles had been aggravated during the past few months, causing her to be nervous and unstrung. The fear of an approaching operation preyed upon her mind continually, though she tried to rise above it with true womanly courage. The sympathy of the whole city goes out to the sorrowing ones. The funeral will be held from the mother's residence this afternoon, Rev. Henke of Baraboo, who united Mr. and Mrs. Main in marriage, delivering the sermon.
