JAMES MEREDITH Funeral Services Held in Home Wednesday with Janesville Pastor Officiating Mrs. James Meredith, 73, a resident of this vicinity for many years, died in her home three miles southwest of the city at 11:15 a.m. Monday following a stroke and complications. She had been ill for the past two weeks. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday with the Rev. Father Willman, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal church, Janesville, officiating. Interment was made here in Maple Hill cemetery. Mrs. Meredith, formerly Miss Emma Withey, was born in England Feb. 28, 1856 and was married to James Meredith there in 1882. They came to America the following year settling on a farm near Albany. In 1898 they moved to Plover, Ia., returning to Evansville in 1912 where they have since made their home.
